Duggar Family Reported To Return To TLC Maybe With Josh Duggar
The Duggar family might be back in TLC for a new version of 19 Kids and Counting. And possibly, this time, Josh Duggar will still be included in the show.
Since the revelation of the Josh Duggar molestation scandal in April last year, ratings of the show and discussions in social media took a negative turn which prompted the TV station to finally cancelled the show in mid-July last year.
However, a new report surface that since the public's warm welcome of the show's spin-off the Jill and Jessa: Counting On, the network is now considering to bring the whole Duggar clan back on TV, including Josh Duggar, The New Civil Rights Movement reported.
"Fans of the TLC series '19 Kids and Counting' will be happy to know that the series will be back for another run," as quoted in a report from Christian Post.
Bryan Fischer, former spokesperson for the American Family Association also tweeted about the possibility.
"For fans of the Duggar family, "19 Kids and Counting" is coming back to TLC," he said.
Previously, the Duggars have been spotted several times being followed by cameras prompting speculations that they are up for another shooting in the reality TV scene.
As cited by Inquisitr, some of the younger female members of the clan were found being filmed at a thrift store. Also John David and Jana Duggar were reported being constantly followed by cameras.
The Duggar comeback may be a possibility yet but it has already stirred several discussions online, some aiming at TLC for being 'hypocritical' and 'overlooking Josh's molestation scandal.'
Also, a blogger criticized the show for its anti-LGBT leanings and Jim Bob's 'failure to take action' in the first stages of the molestation incidents.
Meanwhile, according to Peacock Panache, the Christian show might be back on television but with a twist. This time, it may be focused on Janna Duggar's life.
"...it was revealed that the upcoming focus of the new season will be on Jana Duggar. The premiere of the upcoming season will show her opening up about her sentiments on being single. Her younger sisters are already married and have families of their own, which causes her to compare herself to them."
