Gwen Paltrow and ex-husband, Chris Martin have known for their so-called 'conscious uncoupling' style that allows both of them to spend time with their kids even in the midst of their divorce process. Going through this setup, the actress felt closer to the Coldplay husband and even called him as her 'brother.'

In an interview with Glamour via LA Times, the 43-year old actress explained more about the setup and how it works.

"He's been away for two weeks [promoting his album]. Last night he got in at midnight and slept here so he could surprise the kids in the morning, we could all have breakfast, and he could take them to school. So ... we're not living together, but he's more than welcome to be with us whenever he wants. And vice versa: I sleep in his house in Malibu a lot with the kids. We'll have a weekend all together; holidays, we're together. We're still very much a family, even though we don't have a romantic relationship. He's like my brother," she said during the interview.

Since the announcement of their split in March 2014, Gwyneth and Chris have been 'friendly exes' with the Mortdecai star moving with her new partner, Glee star, Ben Falchuk.

Despite their differences and their unusual setup, the actress and her ex are still keen in keeping their family intact.

"Well, the ideal is to stay married. But if you can't stay married, wouldn't the ideal be that you could still be a family and you could put aside your own stuff long enough to explore - what is this new family and who am I in it?" Paltrow said as mentioned in Today.

Through the years, the actress has also made achievements in her business, Goop and her cosmetic line, Juice.

"The line is made in California. so I was thinking of my California posse: Cameron, Blythe, Apple, Drew, Reese, Kate, Chelsea," she said as mentioned in Vanity Fair.

Currently, Paltrow spends more time with her businesses than in acting and when asked if she missed having movie projects, she said "I wish I missed it more."
