Jamie Foxx 'Heroically' Rescued Civilian Driver Trapped Inside Burning Car
Jamie Foxx did a good deed on Monday as he rescued a driver trapped inside a car that is about to burst in flames.
Huffington Post said that the 48-year old actor heard a loud sound outside his house in Hidden Valley California and discovered a truck, with a man inside, that is about to explode.
And before running outside, he called 911 to inform of the accident. It also happened that a paramedic was also in the vicinity when the accident happened and offered help to the victim.
According to BBC, the unnamed rescuer used his emergency room scissors to smash the window and cut the man's seatbelt to finally let me out of the vehicle.
"I told him as we were talking, as I'm getting him out, I said 'you've got to help me get you out because I don't want to have to leave you'", the actor narrated.
The publication also said that it did not take long, like an estimate of five seconds, for the truck to burst.
"As we pulled him out, within five seconds ... the truck goes up [in flames]. I don't look at it as heroic. I just look at it as, you know, you just had to do something. And it all worked out," the actor told reporters during an interview the next day.
The actor and the paramedics then dragged the victim thirty meters away from the burning car fearing the vehicle would explode, according to TMZ.
The accident that happened around 8:30PM, fortunately, got immediate response with the victim being readily transported to a nearby hospital.
The victim is said to have injured his collarbone and has his lungs punctured. He is discovered to be driving under the influence which caused his demise.
Meanwhile, Kyle Bradley, the victim's father, personally visited the actor's house the next day and thanked Jamie Foxx.
"I think we all hope that we can do something when the time is there. But the question is do we act or do we fear our own lives, and he did not," Bradley told reporters.
In an Instagram post, a photo was posted showing Jamie Foxx hugging the distressed Kyle Bradley.
"Met the father of the young man from last night today. This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother's life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us...No heroes...Just happy fathers," he captioned the photo.
