George R R Martin is hard at work writing " Winds of Winter", the sixth book in the Game of Thrones series and promises to publish it soon.

It seems the latest "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" teaser trailers so excited him that he was inspired to finish his latest opus in the epic series, reports Hollywood Life

"He was really excited about the Star Wars trailer and knows that people will feel the same way once his book is out," Hollywood Life said quoting a source. "He finally looked into things as a fan and not as a writer. The trailer opened up something he has been missing lately, the wonderment of everything is making his creative juices flow again. He is determined to have the new book out and ready for 2015."

At an event in New York in October, Martin revealed that the "world" will get bigger. The new book will deal with thousands of years of history surrounding Westeros, Essos, and nearby and faraway lands. The book will also carry artwork from painter Marc Simonetti's rendition of the Iron Throne.

Martin in an earlier interview at the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival explained why it was taking him so long to finish "Winds of Winter, " writes HNGN.com

"Writer's block isn't to blame here, it's distraction. In recent years, all of the work I've been doing creates problems because it creates distraction," he said. "Because the books and the show are so popular I have interviews to do constantly. I have travel plans constantly. It's like suddenly I get invited to travel to South Africa or Dubai, and who's passing up a free trip to Dubai?"
