Gwen Stefani Returning In The Voice Season 10 Even With Christina Aguilera Comeback

Blake Shelton does not want to lose Gwen Stefani even now that Christina Aguilera is coming back in The Voice's Season 10.

It can be remembered that No Doubt vocalist started out as a substitute coach for the 35-year old singer who was taking maternity leave from the show back then. However, things changed when Gwen and Blake had their respective divorce last year, later found out to have chemistry and started dating.

Christina's comeback, however, was filled with rumors with Hollywood Life saying that Blake and Gwen are teaming up to oust the songstress and permanently putting Stefani in her role as coach.

"Blake's not being subtle about campaigning for Gwen to stay on at Christina's expense. It's made things very tense on set." That's such a shame - Christina used to have so much fun flirting with Blake, the mag says, but now she's essentially been replaced with an, er, older model. Plus, it goes beyond Blake losing interest in Xtina - they're now enemies! "Blake's gone on this power trip by trying to control the way the show runs and everyone's getting annoyed. Christina thinks he and Gwen are ganging up on her and playing dirty. She feels totally stabbed in the back," the source said.

But then Gossip Cop via Movie News Guide wrote another version of the story saying that it is not true and there is no conflict between the 39-year old singer and Xtina. Moreover, Blake treated her as his younger sister.

Whether Xtina is returning or not, Stefani will still be in The Voice as the role mentor for Team Blake, according to Inquisitr.

The country singer has been proposing that NBC will add another coach for the show but the network's executives Bob Greenblatt and Paul Telegdy can only give a 'maybe' to Shelton's request.

"Why can't we have a fifth coach?" the country singer used to say.
