Duggar Family Getting 'Broke Everyday' With No Spin-off Of The Show Since Josh's Molestation Scandal
Now that TLC's Counting On, a spin-off of 19 Kids and Counting focused on Jill and Jessa, is over, the Duggar family is rumored to be worried about their finances and are thinking how to keep their family together with barely enough money in their coffers.
In a report from Design and Trend, it was said that since the cancellation of the Christian-based show on April last year, the Duggars are expected to lose $25 million yearly. And without the spin-offs, their finances would go back to zero without money coming in.
Matters got worse when the TV network's executives gave no guarantees in creating future spin-offs about the clan.
"We are still considering doing more but haven't made a decision yet. We have had our challenges. As soon as we found out about [Josh Duggar], we did work with the family," she said of the scandal that brought down the show," VP and general manager Nancy Daniels said in a press release.
However, Daniels voiced out a probable spin-off focusing on Jessa Seawald and Jill Dillard's sexual abuse when they were still young, according to Christian Today.
"These are people who had something happening in their lives a long time ago. We took the show off the air and immediately connected with two well-respected agencies to figure out the appropriate response. And one of those responses was the documentary to put the word out about a situation that doesn't really get talked about," she said.
Then again, Daniels have not dropped any reassurance of a concrete TV project as of yet.
Meanwhile, Josh Duggar slammed earlier rumors saying that he never had sex with adult film actress, Danika Dillon.
A recent report by InTouch Weekly via Inquisitr said that the 25-year old reality TV star denied having sex with Dillon including earlier accusations that he treated him roughly in bed. Josh also said that he was not even in Pennsylvania where the incident took place.
