Lamar Odom Left LA Hospital Three Months After Drug Overdose
After his 'miraculous' recovery, Lamar Odom is now ready to be moved out from the Cedar-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles to a private, undisclosed facility said to be close to the Kardashian's home.
According to US Weekly, the NBA player's estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian is behind the plan to move him out of the medical facility on Wednesday, January 6. The reality TV star also made sure not to disclose any more details yet as she wants the matter to be very secret 'without unwanted attention.'
Lamar Odom's transfer was also confirmed by a family member, Odom's maternal aunt, JaNean Mercer saying that this is a significant stage and transition of his 'miraculous recovery,' ABC News reported.
The news was also confirmed by the family's spokesperson, Alvina Alston on Friday.
Though not much details are revealed yet regarding the NBA star's state but a source from US Weekly said that he is doing 'way better.'
"He was so happy the kids were there with him for Christmas and they were so happy to be with him. The kids were happy ... to bring him gifts, all of his favorite things that they wrapped up. They had so much fun. It was very emotional and very happy," the source said.
It can be remembered that Lamar Odom was found unconscious in October 30 at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada. An overdose of drugs, cocaine and sex enhancement substances are believed to be the cause that lead to his vegetative state, according to Fox News.
Since his demise, Khloe Kardashian never left her side. In a previous statement, Khloe expressed how amazed she was with her estranged husband's recovery.
"[Lamar's] doing amazing and I'm so proud of the strength that he has to fight this battle," Kardashian said on Wednesday. "Because it's not my story to tell, I try to respect that, and I want him to be able to tell that story. I'm just there to support and care for him," she once said.
