Now Gmail In Yahoo
Yahoo announced syncing of Gmail and Google apps account to Yahoo mail, adding to similar features that exist for Hotmail and AOL mail.
Yahoo's Senior Product Manager, Shiv Shankar, announced that the feature would be available on the app and the desktop version of Yahoo Mail while stating that syncing Google was the missing link in the redesigned mailbox.
"All the features you need and love in Yahoo Mail - powerful search, smart contacts, rich compose features and Yahoo Account Key for password-free sign-in - are now available with Gmail. Here's your path to a more convenient, powerful and personal email experience. You can now search across your entire history of emails, from day one, for all connected mailboxes! (Not just your most recent emails, which is how it's done in many apps today)," the announcement post reads.
Users can sign in with Yahoo account key stored on the mobile without having to remember passwords, search more efficiently and access contacts across mail boxes in a single window.
The Gmail sync comes on the heels of a new Video Guide app announced earlier this week, PC Magazine reports. The app allows users to search across various services. The app can also make suggestions based on the mood of the user.
In other Yahoo related developments, Tumblr became the first third-party app to support Apple's Live Photos.
