Justin Theroux Nearly Died While On Honeymoon
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's honeymoon in Bora Bora had, in fact, turned out not to be a fairy tale the whole way through as the Leftovers actor confessed in a recent TV interview that he nearly drowned while in a scuba diving activity in the Polynesian beach.
In an interview at Live with Kelly and Michael, the actor told about his harrowing, life-threatening experience being with a French, non-English speaking instructor on the second day of their scuba diving lessons, Yahoo News reported.
Theroux is said to have went off with some of his diving pals underwater when he noticed that he nearly ran out of oxygen supply for the dive. He was waiting for instructions from the French instructor but got none.
"I swim over and start tapping on the thing and showing it too him. He's just like keep swimming, keep swimming," the 44-year old actor shared.
He went on to share that he alerted the instructor until such time that he grab his own respirator and stuck it into Justin's mouth in attempt to rescue him.
"I was using every hand signal I could possibly figure out. I said, 'Look.' And he went, 'Oh my God, you're about to die. And the guy just reaches and grabs my respirator and, he has like an emergency respirator. Why are we doing an emergency when earth is right there [though]? I can see it, about 40 feet [away]. But I can't just swim up to the top," he revealed as mentioned in Vanity Fair.
While underwater, the actor cannot help but think he had been victimized by some 'strange conspiracy' or a plot to kill him during his honeymoon.
"Your brain goes into a crazy place," further adding "Oh my God, this is some plot to kill me."
Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston got married this year in a very private ceremony in Jen's Belle-Aire mansion.
In a previous interview, Justin shared that he is happy being married to Aniston.
You know, I feel like I've earned it in a way. I appreciate it and I look forward to being good to her. It's hard to explain but it's a nice feeling, a settled feeling. It just feels really good," Theroux said as mentioned in Designtrend.
