Duggar Family Updates: Clan Upset With Amy's Negative Pregnancy Tests; Dillon King's Wife Comfortable Being The 'Rebel Duggar'
Amy Duggar wants to enjoy his marriage with husband Dillon King and does not want to have babies yet after their honeymoon that lead to a lot of sneers and raised eyebrows among other clan members.
"There's no honeymoon baby. My cousins asked me when I got back, they were like, 'Are you pregnant?' And I was like, 'Uh, no.' And they looked shocked. I mean, shocked! They were ... almost upset, you know? [We're] definitely not planning anything, not anytime soon," she originally told US Weekly via Design and Trend.
Conceiving their firstborn right after their honeymoon is a norm among Duggar members. Jessa Duggar Seewald, for example, gave birth to son Spurgeon months after her wedding with husband Bend Seewald. It also did not take long for Jill Dillard to get pregnant with husband Derick.
However, Amy made it clear that her marriage with Dillon would be different and that they have decided not to have kids as of the moment.
"We don't want a lot of kids. I think (Dillon) will be an awesome dad and I can't wait to be a mom someday, but we've got so many little cousins to love on and so many little kiddos that we don't feel like we're missing out. Right now, it's like, let's just not," she explained as mentioned in Christian Today.
Previously, Amy has been very open to disapprove of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's Dating Rules and that Amy had dated and kissed a few men before she got married. This public revelation in front of the cameras infuriated Jim Bob and prohibited Amy from chaperoning then single, Anna while she dates with Josh, Inquisitr said.
In an Instagram post, Amy also shared to her fans that a TLC producer for 19 Kids and Counting want to influence her decision to chaperon Anna and Josh but she refused thus earning her the title, 'Rebel Duggar,'
"I'm so thankful I do have you following me. I'm just the Duggar's cousin who showed up to pick my Gma up from my cousins house one day, and the producer asked if I wanted to be the chaperone of Josh and Anna's date. I laughed and said something like 'I don't think my uncle would want me to chaperone that date' The producer immediately just basically threw me on camera, and I became known as the 'crazy cousin Amy;' or my favorite 'the rebel Duggar'. Both of those nicknames are hardly true. Wish you all could personally get to know me to see the real me. I try to be as real as possible and so does my husband," she wrote.
