Watch Self-Healing Screen Protector Make iPhone Scratches Disappear
Imagine that your new iPhone 6S screen protector attracts a long scratch across the surface of the screen. Heart wrenching isn't it? With a new self-healing screen protector, a scratch is now a thing of the past.
According to Ubergizmo, the Hydra 2K self-healing screen protector from Innerexile has microcapsules containing an adhesive like liquid that fills up scratches and gives them the appearance of healing in no time. However, the healing happens only under optimum temperature and for a limited number of scratches as the microcapsules will eventually run out of the healing liquid.
The protector can withstand scratches from a 2 kg bronze brush, which makes it one of the toughest protectors available. It is just 0.2 mm thick and is compatible with iPhone 6S 3D Force Touch, reports Engadget. The screen protectors are also backward compatible with last generation of iPhones.
For $ 23.99 a piece, an iPhone 6S screen protector can be purchased on Amazon. The iPhone 6S Plus protector costs $ 2 more.
Innerexile had earlier developed a self-healing case for the iPhone 6. A similar case for the latest generation of iPhones is expected to be available later this year.
