New 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' trailer is definitely kick-butt
The Bennet sisters won't be holding teacups in their new movie but they will be wielding swords and other weapons.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is written by Burr Steers who is also the director of Igby Goes Down. The film is set in 19th century England and follows the Bennet sisters navigating the tricky waters of life and love amidst the rigid social structure of the time and a zombie plague that has turned the British countryside into a bloody battlefield.
Cinderella actress Lily James plays Elizabeth Bennet, a strong-willed master of martial arts and zombie-fighting weaponry who must contend with her feelings for the handsome Mr. Darcy (Control actor Sam Riley) and her desire to be both warrior and woman.
'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' is based on the 2009 Quirk Books horror parody of the Austen novel "Pride and Prejudice".
Along with James and Riley, the cast includes Jack Huston (American Hustle), Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows), Douglas Booth (Jupiter Ascending), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), and Lena Headey (300).
And that mysterious woman wearing the eye-patch is none other than Lena Headey, who plays wine-guzzling "Game of Thrones" villainess Cersei Lannister.
Headey isn't the only "Game of Thrones" actor in the flick. Charles Dance, who played Tywin Lannister on "Game of Thrones" is Mr. Bennet, patriarch of the family.
There will be plenty of slashing, punching, choking, shooting, blood spurting and blowing stuff up, so this movie will not be the typical Regency Romance.
Even the Bennet father reminds his daughters' suitors at dinner that his daughters are tough cookies. "My daughters are trained for battle, sir, not the kitchen."

'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' will be shown worldwide on February 5, 2016.
