Jews And Arabs Dining Together At Israeli Hummus Café Get Discount
Here is an exciting Hummus Bar, where you can get 50 per cent off if you decide to share a meal with the opposing race---either Jewish or Arab. It's the brainwave of Kobi Tzafrir, the owner of Hummus Bar in the Israeli village of Kfar Vitkin.
On its Facebook page, the Hummus Bar announces it loudly: "Afraid of Arabs? Afraid of Jews? We do not have Arabs! But we also have no Jews ... We have people!"
This dish is a favourite of the warring races---the Jewish and Arab communities. So Tzafrir decided that it would happen---he would give a peace offering to everyone.
Many people checked in after seeing the post, according to NBC News.
"This was beautiful and exciting. They said they saw my post on Facebook and came specially," Tzafrir said.
The restaurant, which is situated in the village about 25 miles north of Tel Aviv, saw upwards of 5,000 likes on its post
Hundreds had posted comments appreciating the peace gesture by Tzafrir. To show the world that not all the citizens were part of the violent attacks that took the lives of 10 Israelis and 43 Palestinians, the restaurant was trying to valiantly fly a peace flag.
Jewish and Arab mixed tables are now the rage. And as the restaurant is both Kosher and Halal, neither of the adherents of the religions will object to eating there, according to The Christian Science Monitor.
"If there's anything that can bring together these peoples, it's hummus," said Tzafrir. It is a healthy ground chickpea snack that has brought the two different warring races share one common 'like' according to HNGN.
