Oprah Winfrey has boosted Weight Watchers' weight in the market.

The former talk show host and billionaire media mogul recently signed a five-year deal Monday, owning part of the company and investing $43.2 million for a 10 percent stake, according to etonline.

"We're thrilled to share some big news today - Oprah Winfrey has joined our Board and is a part owner of Weight Watchers!" the company's Facebook reads. "She's a Member on her own personal journey toward success, and she believes so much in what we do and our mission that she wants to work with us to inspire people around the world to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. We are thrilled to count one of the world's most inspiring women among our #WWFamily and we are so excited for what the future holds! 'O' it's an exciting day!"

When her name was officially linked with theirs, their shares doubled and got her back much more than what she had invested in the beginning.

She confesses that her struggle with her weight had been ongoing for years. And now, she is slated to be part of everything they offer, and will also use the mobile app, even as she works with a professional coach. They will also use her name and image for their products and services and she will also make appearances on their behalf, according to HNGN.

"Weight Watchers has given me the tools to begin to make the lasting shift that I and so many of us who are struggling with weight have longed for," Winfrey said. "I believe in the program so much I decided to invest in the company and partner in its evolution."

The hope is that Winfrey's Weight Watchers' contribution will change their brand into a success story. "We are expanding our purpose from focusing on weight loss alone to more broadly helping people lead a healthier, happier life," President and CEO Jim Chambers said.

"Through our conversations, it became clear that there is a tremendous alignment between Oprah's intention and our mission. We believe in her remarkable ability to connect and inspire people to realize their full potential is uniquely complementary to our powerful community, extraordinary coaches and proven approach."

Other celebrities in the list include Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Simpson, who have also become faces for Weight Watchers, according to Pop Sugar.
