Fallout 4 Release Date and Rumors: Bethesda Says PS4 Gamers will be “Pleased”
Bethesda Softworks' Pete Hines revealed via Twitter that gamers playing Fallout 4 on PS4 will be very "pleased."
@Mathew_J_Cooke solid 30 FPS. I play it all the time. I think you'll be pleased.
— Pete Hines (@DCDeacon) October 14, 2015
The developer of the game, which is slated to be one of the biggest releases in 2015, added that the game is "solid," which is a good sign for fans because Fallout 3 and Bethesda's other role-playing action video game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, were not very successful on the console.
Aside from reassuring fans that the game will be good, Hines also revealed that for PC users, there would be a game disc that will include other information other than the installer. Fans who want to go this route can camp out at certain locations that will be hosting a midnight launched party for the game.
There is still no word on whether or not there will be a Fallout 4 pre-load.
Fallout 4's Pip-Boy Edition was available for pre-order on the Bethesda Store earlier today but it sold out immediately. The Pip-Boy, which requires a compatible phone, is a wearable device that was designed to replicate the in-game model.
The description for the Pip-Boy reads: "Pip-Boy is the ultimate accessory for the official Pip-Boy companion mobile app that allows players to manage their in-game inventory, perks, holotapes, and more." The Pip-Boy Edition was selling for $120.
"We reached a point where we'd go back to the factories and they were like, 'Guys, this is it, sorry. This is as long as we can run the lines and as many of them as we can make,'" Hines said to GameStop back in July. "They're being made today, it's not like they're done and sitting in a warehouse ... We'd go back to [the factories] and say, 'Demand for this is insane, we've got to make more.' And they'd move other projects off or shift stuff to other factories and it just came to [them telling Bethesda], 'Final answer: sorry, this is as many as we can make.' And we sold every single one of those that we could."
The pre-order sales opened up today most likely due to order cancellations.
"Fallout 4" comes out on November 10 at 12:01 a.m. ET on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
