Obamacare Scarier Than Death: Top American Fears REVEALED in New Study

If you are looking for Halloween costume ideas, here is a list of things that Americans fear the most, courtesy social scientists at Chapman University.

A survey of 1,541 adults from across the country revealed that Americans are very scared of corrupt government officials, cyber-terrorism and terror attacks. Bio-warfare, identity theft, bankruptcy and credit card fraud were among the 10 fears of Americans. ABC News reports that the fear of death ranked far below many other fears!

Americans are also scared of artificial intelligence with 28.9 percent of the respondents scared of robots replacing workforce while 23.9 percent feared robots.

The survey also found that the fear of Obamacare (35.7 percent) was more profound than that of death (21.9 percent).

It was also revealed that Americans hold fears of the supernatural, including ghosts and zombies. Clowns too were on the list of fears categorized under personal anxieties. Americans also feared others judging their appearance, weight, age, race, gender and dressing.
