Ahmed Mohamed, a 14-year-old, has been catapulted into fame after the police charged and arrested him for a strange crime----making a homemade clock that looked like a bomb.

He then received an invitation from Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir into his residence in Khartoum, where he got something else---appreciation for his "intelligence and talent".

Bashir has an interesting record, and this is not the first time that Ahmed's family is meeting him. Earlier, his father, Mohamed Hassan al-Sufi, was a presidential candidate, who stood against Bashir but lost, according to the International Business Times.

Bashir's record doesn't cover him with glory. He has been the Sudanese President for the last 26 years. He has also received "outstanding arrest warrants" from the International Criminal Court for "orchestrating genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur."

Moreover, in the 1990s, Sudan had sheltered Osama bin Laden for five years, and the U.S slammed a number of sanctions against the country, according to The Washington Post.

Still, the 14-year-old was happy to meet the President, and said that he hoped to return with a new invention and more achievements.

Ahmed's long list of celebrity visits include Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, NASA, and U.S. President Barack Obama.
