Cleveland Browns Johnny Manziel, who has supposedly turned over a new leaf, was reportedly stopped by the cops for a domestic incident this past Monday.

According to the police report, the cops were called by witnesses who claimed that Manziel and his girlfriend, Colleen Elizabeth Crowley were arguing in his car. The argument reportedly got so heated that Crowley attempted to leave the car while Manziel was driving and exiting a highway.

Manziel and Crowley admitted to arguing when questioned by the cops. Manziel also reportedly admitted to drinking earlier in that day. The quarterback, however, was not charged after the police concluded that he was not intoxicated during the argument. Crowley also did not want to press charges and stated that she did not fear for her life after Manziel was questioned about whether or not he had struck or punched her.

"We were aware of the situation," Browns GM Ray Farmer said in a statement. "It is a matter that we take seriously and have expressed our concerns to Johnny directly. Those conversations will remain private and we will refrain from further comment at this time."

Manziel tweeted about the incident, calling it a "dumb public argument" that "was embarrassing but not serious."

During the offseason, Manziel spent 10 weeks in rehab, which he voluntarily checked himself into. The details of his treatment remain unknown.

The NFL will most likely review the case.
