The status of former NBA player, Lamar Odom, is still very unclear, especially with so many media outlet reporting different stories.

USA TODAY Sports has learned that doctors who are treating Odom, 35, in the intensive care unit at Sunrise Hospital in Nevada have detected increased heart function. TMZ reported that Odom's heart was "on the mend" but added that all of his movements, including eye opening, were involuntary.

Other reports claimed that although Odom was not getting any worse, he was also not getting any better. E! News cited a hospital source who stated that Odom is still in a coma. Odom also reportedly has breathing and feeding tubes.

"He hasn't suffered any more strokes," the source stated before adding that his brain swelling has not worsened. "But he's not getting better and that has everyone worried."

Odom was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada this past Tuesday. Early reports stated that toxicology results found numerous drugs, including cocaine and opioids, in his system.

Since Odom was found and subsequently hospitalized, reality TV star, Khloe Kardashian, who is still legally married to Odom, has remained by his side. Khloe's family, Kris and Kylie Jenner and Kourtney and Kim Kardashian also flew in to see Odom. They have since returned to their homes in L.A.

The Kardashian-Jenner family released this statement: "As a family, we've decided to hold off on publishing content across our apps while we continue to support and pray for Lamar."

They also thanked their fans for their support but asked for privacy.

CNN is reporting that Khloe is making all of the medical decisions right now.

Odom's maternal aunt and godmother, JaNean Mercer, also released a statement via publicist Alvina Alston that read: "No words can express the overwhelming gratitude we feel for the outpouring of support from around the world. His complete healing is paramount and our primary focus."

Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant reportedly rushed to visit Odom while several other players throughout the league have tweeted their prayers.

Bryant tweeted "#justpray" with a picture message that read:

"When WE feel the need to question the support of others in moments as critical as a life hanging in the balance, then we must question the kind of culture we have created that has led US to such insensitive suspicion."

Bryant and Odom were teammates from 2004 to 2011.
