David Beckham Car Accident: Beckham and Brooklyn Narrowly Escape Serious Injuries in Car Accident
Soccer stud David Beckham and his 16-year -old son Brooklyn narrowly missed serious injuries Saturday after Beckham crashed into a woman's car while reversing his vehicle in Hertfordshire, England.
Brooklyn has been playing for Arsenal's under-16 team and had just finished a match against Brighton's under-16 team. Beckham picked Brooklyn from the Arsenal training ground in London's Colney and was heading away when he crashed his Audi into a woman's Mitsubishi.
According to The Daily Mail, the car's airbags deployed right on time and if not could have cause serious injuries.
Beckham's car's driver's seat was considerably damaged and so was the woman's car. The woman and her daughter were rushed to the hospital for minor injuries. In the meantime, Beckham apologized copiously and even offered his jumper to the woman while they waited for help.
The police was called to the scene soon after.
A source told The Independent that the father-son duo was pretty shaken by the whole incident. Another eyewitness told The Sun that the accident was indeed a close call and the two could have been seriously injured if not for the air bags.
This is not the first car accident for Beckham and Brooklyn. In October last year, Beckham crashed his SUV into another SUV near their Beverly Hills house. In May 2011 too, Beckham clipped a vehicle while swerving in a lane in Los Angeles.
Though the incident left Beckham and his son shaken, the study ex football captain managed to put on a stylish front a day later alongside wife Victoria Beckham at the 60th London Evening Standard Awards.
