Former NWA Manager Claims Suge Knight Ordered The Hit On Tupac
Former NWA manager Jerry Heller has claimed that Suge Knight had Tupac shot, adding fuel to conspiracy theories surrounding the unresolved mystery of Tupac's death.
Tupac (2pac) Shakur was shot on September 7, 1996 in Las Vegas. When the attack happened, the rapper was in a black BMW with Knight, who escaped unhurt. Rumors that Knight ordered the hit have been around ever since the shooting. Tupac died six days later, reports Hiphopdx.
"He absolutely did. Unquestionably put the hit on him. Pulled Tupac in front of him, that's how he got the glass in his head. You don't think the cops could have solved this if they wanted to?" Heller said in a recent interview, according to Billboard.
Tupac Shakur was 25 when he died. The rapper's death remains one of the enduring mysteries given that seven albums attributed to him were released posthumously. Neither the killers nor the white Cadillac that they drove was found.
Reports emerged earlier this year quoting a former cop who claimed that the rapper paid millions to fake his death. The cop had also claimed that Knight had a big role to play in helping Tupac fake his death. It is however not clear why Shakur would fake his death given his success and the reputation he had earned as one of the best rappers of all time.
