George R.R. Martin, the author behind the hit book series, "A Song of Ice and Fire," which the HBO TV show "Games of Thrones" is based on, has no idea how he will end the story. Martin, after all, is still working on the second to last book, "Winds of Winter. "

Even though "Winds of Winter" has not been released yet, fans continue to discuss the different possibilities that can occur by the end of the book and TV series, granted that they are the same or similar. The "Games of Thrones" producers have diverged from the books quite a lot already.

Finn Jones, who plays Loras Tyrell on the show, offered his thoughts on how the series will end. Jones said, while at New York Comic-Con 2015, that at the very end, no one will be sitting on the Iron Throne. He believes that an impending great war will end up destroying all of Westeros.

"Basically, what I think is that there will be a huge battle between Ice and Fire factions.... A lot of people will die and out of the ashes will come the tree people and a select few people will grow and give back power to the people," Jones said reported by iDigitalTimes.com. "'Dream of Spring' will be about regrowth. It'll be Bran, Brienne, Tyrion, just some good guys to bring piece back to the realm. But knowing 'Game of Thrones,' it'll be something really horrible, like Littlefinger is on the Iron Throne."

Jones' theory is just one of many. Only Martin knows how his story will end. For the show, on the other hand, producers D.B Weiss and David Benioff, will have control over the ending of "Games of Thrones," which Martin believes will be different from his vision. Martin said previously that since "Games of Thrones" is moving so much faster than he can type, the endings for both stories would not be the same.

"Winds of Winter" is expected to be released next year and "Games of Thrones" season 6 will premiere during the spring.
