On October 5, 2015, a day before its launch, a leaked image of Microsoft Lumia 950 XL circulated around the cyberspace. The photo showed that the smartphone will have a 3,340 mAh Battery.

The leaked image was posted on twitter by @stagueve owned by Steve Hemmerstoffer. The 950 XL with a removable battery would be a change from recent Microsoft cellular phones with sealed back panels. Apparently, 950 XL along with the Lumia 950 are the first Windows 10 handsets.

Lumia 950 XL is expected to have a 5.7-inch multi-touch display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution. The said smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB of RAM. Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 are reported to have 21-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie sensor for capturing better quality images.

The handset is also rumored to have 32 GB internal storage. Users may also expand the memory to 2TB with a microSD card. Just like previous Lumia phones, 950 XL is believed to have a plastic shell.

Aside from the smartphones, Windows also revealed the Surface Pro 4 tablet.
