A four-year-old boy was pregnant when he thought he has tumor in his stomach, a cause for recurring pain. This boy from village Midnapore, district West Bengal in India was born with a dead fetus inside his stomach. He is apparently suffering from rarest of rare medical condition called 'fetus in fetu', affecting less than 1 in 500,000 newborns. SO far, there have been only 200 cases reported so far, says Daily Mail.

The news of this condition was discovered when the boy complained of stomach pains and was admitted in the hospital thinking that the boy has tumor. However, after the ultrasound and CT scan reports, it was revealed that he has developed a dead fetus inside his body, as reported by International Business Times.

In 80% cases, the dead fetus is found in the abdomen but there have also been times when it developed in the skull as well. According to World Health Organization, this condition can be called an extension of mature teratoma, a type of cancer where the tumor develops inside the body, reports Helpinus.

Foetus in Fetu is a very rare disease where the dead fetus of a malformed body can be found in the body of the twin. If in early stages of pregnancy, the woman has twins, one of the two can enter the body of another through the umbilical cord. In this case, the dead fetus becomes a parasite in the sibling's body, feeding off him for its survival. Although the fetus dies soon after birth, but it can pose a serious threat to the life of baby that does survive. The cases of this disease have been reported in the most bizarre forms around the world, reports IBN Live.
