Although there has been no release date announced for Grand Theft Auto 6, rumors surrounding the game have been all over the Internet.

One very popular rumor is that Eva Mendes might be voicing a new female lead character and her baby daddy, actor Ryan Gosling, might be lending his voice for another character. While Mendes' character will be completely new, the rumor is claiming that Gosling's character could be a descendant of John Marston from "Red Dead Redemption." By adding this character, Rockstar Games will be able to connect GTA and Red Dead Redemption.

Rockstar Games president Dan Houser and Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies revealed that although they do not know what GTA 6 will entail, they do have future plans for a female lead character as well as a multi-city gaming experience.

"We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas," Benzies, who is the lead developer of the GTA series, said. "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas. In that context, re-imagining Vice City would be very interesting."

Houser said in 2013, "In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course, we just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things we always think about."

Another popular rumor regarding the next game in the series is that gamers might be able to play the "cop" character. Fans have requested this player mode for a long time.

GTA 6 is expected to come out some time between 2018 and 2020. Rockstar is rumored to be working on Red Dead Redemption right now.
