"True Detective" may not return with its second season till next year but still the plot detail has been revealed.

According to reports, Vince Vaughn and Elisabeth Moss are being considered for the next season cast.

TV Line reports that Vince Vaughn is in "preliminary talks" for a role with the show runners of "True Detective" Season 2 but there is no official report about the role the actor would enact in the new project.

Vince Vaughn may play the role of a "central antagonist." Not necessarily  a "villain or murderer", reports The Wrap

The True Detective season 2 is setup in "fictional California" where a "corrupt city manager" is savagely murdered. The death of Ben Casper (character in the series) occurs amid "potentially groundbreaking transportation deal that would forever change freeway gridlock in the state." The investigation is headed by three officers coming together from different cities and agencies to solve the case.

Vince Vaughn is supposed to play the role of a "former thug-turned-businessman" named Frank Semyon who is employed at "local mayor's" office and gets involved with "a high speed railway system" connecting Southern California to Northern California for monetary benefits, reports The Wrap

Reports are that Colin Ferrall  has almost signed on the dotted line to star. Meanwhile, fans must note that there is no official confirmation of the news yet.
