Android 6.0 Marshmallow Latest Update: Arriving On Nexus In A Week

With a week to go before Android 6 Marshmallow lands on some smartphones, manufacturers are coming out with a list of devices that are set to get the update. Recently, Motorola too published its list of devices.

According to GSM Arena, the list includes - 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen), 2015 Moto X Style (3rd gen), 2015 Moto X Play, 2015 Moto G (3rd gen), 2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd gen), 2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia2 (2nd gen), 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE (2nd gen), DROID Turbo, 2014 Moto MAXX, 2014 Moto Turbo.

Samsung and HTC have also listed devices lined up for the update but LG has not mentioned it yet.

Nexus users are set to get the update soon for their devices. Android M promises a whole new set of features that are aimed at maximizing productivity from devices.

According to Fox News, the Doze feature will help devices disable background processes when in idle to increase battery life substantially. App standby also helps conserve battery life by preventing apps from draining battery.

Google Now's capability to collect information from third-party apps is a handy feature. Android's security has improved by bounds in the latest update as users can limit access of the phone's faculties to apps. This can be done through a checklist presented when installing apps.

Other talked about features include support for USB C, faster transfers and support for fingerprint sensors.
