Weight Loss Tips: Millennials Predicted to Have the Hardest Time Shedding Pounds
Millennials are going to face problems losing weight, according to a new study by York University in Canada, posted by the Obesity Research and Clinical Practice group.
Even though there is 120 percent increase in physical activity in this generation, with much more exercise than in previous generations, and an increase in the carb intake by merely 14 per cent, the millennials are still fighting the fat.
Hence, Jennifer Kuk's study shows that children born in the 90s have higher BMIs than those in the 70s and 80s.
"Our study results suggest that if you are 25, you'd have to eat even less and exercise more than those older, to prevent gaining weight," Kuk said. "However, it also indicates there may be other specific changes contributing to the rise in obesity beyond just diet and exercise."
There were some new perspectives added to the battle against obesity. Even as it questioned the way we look at weight loss, according to the University Herald.
"...Weight management is actually much more complex than just energy in versus energy out," said Kuk, according to HNGN.
