Is Tupac really alive?

Tupac Shakur was shot on September 7, 1996 in Las Vegas and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Despite the reported death, people have been questioning the iconic rapper's death for years. Now, in an old video that surfaced last week, Suge Knight, the founder and CEO of Black Kapital Records, who is currently in jail awaiting a murder trial, claimed that Tupac never died.

In the clip, Suge Knight admitted that Tupac is very much alive. He stated that he believed Tupac decided to fake his own death in order to avoid a prison sentence.

On top of this clip, a former police officer named David Myers is claiming to be one of the roughly 30 people who were paid by Suge Knight to help fake Tupac's death. The other people included medics, other officers and witnesses. Myers, who is currently in critical medical condition, wanted to come clean about what he did nearly two decades ago.

"The world needs to know what I did. I'm ashamed that I let a price be put on my word and I cannot die without letting the world know," Myers said according to HollywoodLife.com. The celebrity website noted that there is no concrete source for this story.

Myer added that he was paid $1.5 million to help cover up the fake death and that Tupac had paid $50,000 for a body double.

Despite the recent stories, a lot of the details still do not make sense. Tupac, who was 25 when he was shot, was a rising star with a lot of talent. It would be highly unlikely that Tupac would fake his death and throw away a very promising career.

Tupac remains one of the best-selling artists of all time. He has sold over 75 million records.
