Creed frontman Scott Stapp says he's broke and living in a motel room, according to a video he published on his Facebook page. Not only is he in financial ruin, but he has pinned the cause of it on U.S. President Barack Obama.

The 41-year-old lead singer of the Grammy-winning band says in a rambling 15-minute-long video posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday that he's living in a hotel. He says he had been living in his truck and had no money for gas or food.

"Right now, I'm under some kind of, pretty vicious attack," Scott claims in the video. "I still haven't figured out the reasons why, except, that about 8 weeks ago I began an audit of not only my record company, but my personal finances."

He continues to explain that shocking things were "uncovered" because of this audit, and that now he is completely penniless. According to Scott, the IRS has frozen his bank accounts - and will not return his funds for 9 to 10 months.

Scott, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse but also claims to be 100% sober thanks to his dedication to Jesus Christ in the video, also used the video to send a message to his two children.

"I think the most important thing for me right now is my son Jagger, my daughter Milan, and my son Daniel," Scott says.

"I want my son to know, Jagger, that your dad is sober. No drugs, no alcohol. This is a vicious attack because some people that we know, and at the record company, and outside of that, have stolen quite a bit of money. I guess money can make people do evil things."

"A lot of money was stolen from me or royalties not paid and that's when all hell began to break loose," Stapp claimed on Wednesday in an online video, saying he was the victim of a "vicious attack."

On Thursday, Stapp took to the radio to elaborate on his problems. The former rocker told Roz Weston and Mocha Frap, of The Roz and Mocha Show on Toronto's KiSS 92.5, that Obama was behind the attack that left him broke and homeless.

"In 2012, I was doing a promotional tour for my book, Sinner's Creed," Stapp said. "I went on Fox News, I expressed a little concern and disappointment with President Obama. Well, within two months of that statement, the IRS began to freeze my accounts."

"I believe that the IRS situation is definitely a result of me expressing my dissatisfaction with President Obama," he continued. "Absolutely, 100 percent. When my assets were frozen, I wasn't able to pay my mortgage."
