More blessings more Lady Gaga this year as she has just been awarded the Billboard 'Woman of the Year in 2015.'

The Woman of the Year award is said to be given to 'influential women' in the music industry who fosters change in the society, according to Billboard.

"Billboard's Woman of the Year has always represented the finest in music, and the anointing of a key influential figure who drove the conversation for that year. No one embodies that more than Lady Gaga in 2015.

From her show-stopping performance at the Oscars, to her co-headlining tour, to her philanthropic outreach and foundation promoting youth wellbeing and empowerment, to her new role as TV star, there is no woman dominating popular culture tastes and its evolution as much as she is today. What a force," says Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media's entertainment group, which consists of Billboard and THR.

The 28-year old popstar's career soar in recent months as two of her recent singles, Till It Happens To You and Anything Goes, a duet by Tony Bennet made it to the Billboard charts with Till It Happens To You, a song about sexual abuse, hitting the No. 1 on the real time Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart.

The American Horror Story star has also been busy with her recently-concluded 36-show tour in North America and Europe that promotes her album, Cheek To Cheek. Another album is also expected to come out later this year.

In a Twitter post, the singer aired how ecstatic she is with the award, E! Online reported.

"I can't believe @billboard named me Woman of the year thank you so much
