Anyone looking for a good deal this Black Friday and are in the market for a tablet. Tablets like E-Fun's Nextbook 8" Tablet With Windows are being offered by Walmart this Friday for only $99.
Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba and E-FUN sell tablets under $100 that run a full version of Windows 8.1 and can run basic PC applications.
These devices can be used to open Word documents, browse the Web, watch movies and play Xbox games. The devices also have Skype for videoconferencing and Internet Explorer 11.
The cheapest member of the Ematic line of Windows tablets features a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel IPS capacitive touchscreen display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a microSD card slot.
It's powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor, features 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a USB 2.0 port, microSD card slot, a 2MP rear and 0.3MP front camera, and Windows 8.1 software.
The tablet measures 7.5″ x 4.4″ x 0.31″ and weighs less than 10 ounces.
This Nextbook comes with a one-year, free subscription to Microsoft's Office 365 Personal Edition productivity suite along with 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. At $6.95/month or $69.95/year, including that is a nice extra for a $99 tablet. Microsoft also throws in 60 minutes of international Skype calling and the Nook for Windows 8 app to sweeten the deal.
