Video: New York UFO Clip Is Baffling

Now what was that UFO that was caught on camera off the coast of Long Island all about? It still hasn't been confirmed.

Caught in camera on April at 10:30 pm in Port Jefferson, the clip was given to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), according to the Daily Mail.

"When I looked to my left, I noticed red and blue lights hovering," the witness wrote in his report to MUFON. "I stopped and watched for a little bit to see if it was just someone playing with a toy. Then the object went higher into the air and started to move pretty fast. I then took out my phone and started to record for as long as I could till my phone died."

There are supporters of this having been a "drone sighting", although the video does not give enough information to make us sure about it.

"I looked at the video and found there is no reliable way to determine the object's range This presents us with a problem in determining the nature of the object," said Marc Dantonio, the chief photo and video analyst for the UFO Network. "That said, it could be a small object up close, which would put this as a small radio controlled drone or plane. We can't ignore this possibility," according to HNGN.

It was in 2011 that drones became much more apparent to the public, leading a number of people to think they were UFOs, according to the Huffington Post.
