Angelina Jolie's latest drama set in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge era, will air on Netflix and have her son Maddox in it.

The film 'First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers,' is based on a book that goes by the same title. The movie is being directed by Jolie and is set for 2016 release in Cambodia while it will be available on Netflix in the US. According to Master Herald, Jolie visited Cambodia's Prime Minister in Phnom Pen on September 17. This is being seen as a sign of Cambodian government's support for the movie.

Enstarz reported that the film will be Jolie and husband Brad Pitt's son Maddox's first speaking role. The 14-year-old teenager was born in Cambodia and was found to be a perfect fit.

"Maddox has been desperate to get into acting. This is a dream come true for him. He's read the book the film's based on and speaks the language- it's a perfect fit," a source said.

Maddox's first movie appearance was in World War Z starring his father Brad Pitt where the teenager had an uncredited role.
