Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie's 14-year old son Maddox is excited to play his first ever speaking role in Angelina Jolie's "First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers."

"Maddox has been desperate to get into acting. This is a dream come true for him. He's read the book the film's based on and speaks the language - it's a perfect fit," a source said as mentioned in Business Standard.

This is second time that the Cambodian-born kid had a cameo in the films made by its parents. In 2013, he had a brief non-speaking role Brad Pitt's World War Z.

Previously, the 39-year old actress-director revealed to the media that she made Maddox her assistant while doing research around Cambodia for the movie, Xpose.ie said.

'As Maddox and I prepare the film we will be side by side learning about his country. He is turning 14 next week and this is a very important time for him to understand who he is. He is my son but he is also a son of Cambodia. This is the time for our family to understand all that that means to him and to us. My desire to tell this story in the most truthful and accurate way possible will be my tribute to the strength and dignity of all Cambodian people," she said.

The Netflix series, "First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers" is a firsthand account of written by Loung Ung, a Cambodian author and survivor of the Pol Pot regime who experienced the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge regime.

Maddox is one among Angie and Brad's kids Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and twins, Knox and Vivienne.

Earlier this year, the couple finally tied the knot after living together since 2005.

In an interview, Angelina Jolie said that the wedding has enhanced her relationship with Brad Pitt, Enstarz said.

"It did change [things]. It was in just a feeling of that security and comfort that we always had, but recommitting after 10 years together. And we were fortunate enough to be in that usual situation where we got married with our children, and they were a part of the ceremony and they wrote some of the vows," she said.
