So it's caution time for the Republican candidate, Donald Trump. He recently announced during one of his rallies in Iowa that he would be "willing to appoint a Muslim" to his cabinet, and even declared that women are "superior to men."

There were hundreds of people at a rally in front of the Urbandale High School, which took place because students wanted a guest who was part of the presidential race during their homecoming celebration.

"Hello folks," Trump said as he saw the students present, USA Today  reported. "Oh, they're so young. Look at them, so young and beautiful and attractive."

Students do not take statements at face value, yet they seemed star-struck. Still, they made Donald Trump a bit uncomfortable over some of his former stands. "I consider Muslim-Americans to be an asset to our country," one the students started and then asked him if he would be willing to include a Muslim in his cabinet if he becomes president.

"Oh absolutely, no problem with that," Trump answered, according to the Des Moines Register. "Would I consider putting a Muslim-American in my cabinet? Absolutely, no problem with that. OK?"

And what about his insults on women?

"I think women are the greatest," he said. "No, I think they're superior to men. Let me tell you - I think they're far superior to men. Women - they're great. And I will take care of women's health issues."

At a town hall rally in New Hampshire, another member in the crowd commented that Obama was a Muslim. It was a false statement that Trump did not bother to contradict. The student then asked him what he planned to do with US "training camps" of Muslims.

"We're going to be looking at a lot of different things," Trump responded to the question, CNN  reported. "You know, a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening," according to hngn.

Later, as he was criticised for not defending Obama, he took to Twitter.

"Am I morally obligated to defend the president every time somebody says something bad or controversial about him? I don't think so!"

Secondly, he tweeted: "If I would have challenged the man, the media would have accused me of interfering with that man's right of free speech. A no win situation!"
