James Bond Updates: David Beckham Definitely Not The Next 007 Agent; 'I Laughed Many Times About It'
The next James Bond will definitely not be football and fashion icon, David Beckham as he personally confirmed.
"I saw that the other day and I laughed many times about it. Definitely won't be in the next James Bond," the 40-year old former Manchester United icon said in an interview as mentioned in People.
The fashion icon has been included in the list of candidates for the next Bond together with Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba and Damien Lewis among others in an online poll.
An 007 role may be the farthest thing that Becks had in mind as he never considered a transition from his sports and fashion career to an acting career.
"I've never, ever thought about going into any kind of acting. People have actually started talking about me and my new career of acting, which - it's not my new career of acting, it's just something that I'm kind of stepping into and enjoying myself with," he further said.
Beckham, however, proceed to explaining his love for passion and modelling and talks about the authenticity of his love for these clothes, particularly for the British luxury clothing brand Belstaff.
"I've never, ever thought about going into any kind of acting. People have actually started talking about me and my new career of acting, which - it's not my new career of acting, it's just something that I'm kind of stepping into and enjoying myself with."
Meanwhile, the father of three revealed that one of his sons felt pressured in playing football as the public always likens them to what he had achieved, Mirror reported.
"One of my boys turned around to me the other day, he said, 'Daddy, you know, I'm not sure I want to play football all the time...' It broke my heart a little bit.
"He said, 'Every time that I step onto the field, I know people are saying, you know, 'This is David Beckham's son,' and if I'm not as good as you, then it's not good enough.' I said, 'Okay, stop right there... You play because you want to play."
Becks would always console his boys, Romeo and Brooklyn who both have football training, to do what makes them happy.
"Okay, stop right there... You play because you want to play."
As for their adorable four-year old girl, Harper, Victoria Beckham said that the toddler also want to follow her father's footsteps.
"Mommy, I think I want to play football. She loves fashion as all little girls do, she loves putting makeup on and playing with my shoes. She's a tomboy, she has three brothers" Victoria said as mentioned in The Telegraph.
