Drake Serena Williams Update: Rapper Supports Tennis Champ In Her Fashion Show While He Rants At DJ For Playing Diss Track
Win or lose, Drake is there for rumored girlfriend, Serena Williams for her fashion show at New York City on Tuesday.
Williams lose during the semifinals at the U.S. Open on Friday with Roberta Vinci but this does not stop the rapper from attending the Serena Williams' HSN Signature Statement Collection and sitting at the front row with Anna Wintour.
An insider from People said that the rapper is 'being transfixed' while paying close attention to the clothes paraded in the runway. He also stood up and took a bow when the tennis champ was introduced in the end of the show.
According to tennis star, the clothing line is up for everybody regardless of race and background.
"One thing I love about my line is that it's not just for one race of people or one type of person. It's not for the thin girls or thick. it's just for everybody! It's just for women. And it's about empowering and coming together," she said during a backstage chat.
Though not formally announced yet, Drake and Serena Williams have been brewing for months. And in that fashion event, TMZ spotted them sharing a kiss, 'his lips to her hand.'
Drake has also played some of his tracks during the fashion show.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rapper was not successful in containing his anger when a DJ mistakenly played the track with of curse words. Remember the diss tracks aimed at Meek Mill?
The 28-year old rapper is said to be ashamed of it and was spotted screaming at the DJ, Hollywood Life said.
"All of a sudden he came busting out from the backstage into the runway area and approached the DJ. There was an animated discussion and Drake was upset. The DJ kept raising his arms as if to say, 'It wasn't my fault'" a source said.
The source continued saying, "They didn't want Anna Wintour to be horrified sitting there with curse words playing." The deejay was said to be very upset and said: "I played the mix I was given. This is what they gave me."
