Kelly Clarkson Cancels Concert Tour Dates Per Doctor's Advice To Rest Her Voice
Kelly Clarkson announced on Twitter that she will be cancelling six concert dates for her Piece by Piece tour per advice from her doctor to let her vocal chords rest for a while.
"So bummed that I have to cancel some of my tour dates. This kills me, but doctors are saying I need to rest my voice!" she said as mentioned in USA Today.
The concert tours include two in Vienna, Va, one in Tampa, Florida, one in West Palm Beach, Fla, one in Raleigh, N.C and one in Camden, N.J.
The American Idol singer, who is currently pregnant, continued to post other Tweets saying how sorry she was for her decision.
"..and I am truly sorry to my fans that have been excited to see this show."
"Please know that I never cancel anything unless it's absolutely necessary."
ET! Online noted that the singer also had the biggest scare in June when she 'lost her voice' and thought she could never sing again.
"Afterwards was the part where I literally had a moment where I cried and drank wine all day. I was like, 'Oh, God, I'm not going to be a singer anymore!' I was bawling to my husband and like, completely hammered, just going, 'Oh my God, it's over, I don't know what I'm going to do. I guess I could do more charity work.' Like, I didn't know what I was going to do," she once said.
Despite setbacks, the Piece by Piece tour which has started in July will continue until November this year.
In the concert, Clarkson also sang her own renditions of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", Prince's "Purple Rain", and NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye", Business Standard said.
