J.K. Rowling: Voldemort's Name Is Pronounced Wrong

Sometimes you may not pronounce even a villain's name properly. J.K. Rowling tells her fans that they have pronounced the name of Lord Voldemort, the chief villain of the 'Harry Potter' novels, wrong, according to contactmusic.

She said: "Harry Potter' fans have been pronouncing villain Lord Voldemort's name wrong for years."

Earlier, she had said that the villain Voldemort, who was enacted by Ralph Fiennes in the movie, should be pronounced with a ''silent t''. On Wednesday, she repeated her stand in Twitter.

A Twitter user Michael Lucero wrote: ''One piece of Harry Potter trivia I always forget to mention: the ''t'' is silent in Voldemort, according to @jk_rowling (sic)''

So she responded to the message and added, ''but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who pronounces it that way''.

Interestingly, it is not just the fans who are pronouncing it wrong, but even the characters in the movies who enunciate the evil wizard's name erroneously.

The name Voldemort is translated to mean 'flight of death' in French, with a 't'.

So even The Dark Lord (@Lord_Voldemort7) replied, tweeting to J.K., reading: ''Muggles never listen,'' and posted a link to an older tweet from 2010, which said: ''Yo my names Voldemort & the t is silent, but don't say my name or imma get violent. #FreestyleFriday (sic).''

However, finally, the Muggles have the last word---always! There are few that would name ''He who must not be named'' without the 't'.
