Fifty Shades Darker Update: Producers Furious Over Delay Caused by Budget Flinch
Rumor has it that a myriad of probable causes are influencing the production delay of the forthcoming, movie 'Fifty Shades Darker' - the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster hit 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. Apparently, it has been delayed even further. Based on reports from Movie News Guide, the latest addition to the list of delay causes is a flinch in the budget, leaving producers furious.
Reportedly, the stars Dakota Johnson playing Ana and Jamie Dornan playing Grey in the blockbuster sequel, are demanding a whopping 7 figure payout. This is in lieu with the success of 'Fifty shades of Grey' in the box office and the ensuing demand for more erotic scenes in the upcoming movie based on the book's rendition.
Topping the list of causes in delayed production however, is that the change in director of the movie from Sam Taylor-Johnson to the newly chosen James Foley halted the production. Sam Taylor-Johnson, as you should know it, is the director of the hit movie 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. 'Fifty shades of Grey' was the first installment of the 'Fifty Shades' Franchise wherein Dakota and Jamie where paid $250,000 each. Following all the directorial buzz doing its rounds, the sequel has now been officially announced to be directed by the renowned James Foley of 'Houses of Cards' according to International Business Times UK.
Earlier, Movie News Guide had also reported that the delay in production was reasoned to Jamie Dornan becoming a new daddy, and wanting to spend quality time with his wife Amelia Warner and the baby. There were also rumors that Amelia Warner was uncomfortable with the intimate scenes the actor had to perform with co-star Dakota Johnson, prompting delay to the movie's commencement.
However, the date of release of the movie still remains unchanged as February 10, 2017.
