Five Nights At Freddy's 4 News: New Game Currently In the Works, Scott Cawthon Reveals
Fans of Five Nights at Freddy's who can't enough of the game's latest iteration can look forward to a little more this Halloween and a lot more from the game's developer in the near future.
Scott Cawthon has promised fans an update, not a DLC as was earlier reported. A Steam Community post from Cawthon claims that the update will include 'lots of goodies' including a cheat menu, a challenge menu, and some changes to a mini-game.
"This also means that there will be a whole new set of stars to earn for those who are up to the challenge!" Cawthon wrote.
He also divulged a new game, not fifth iteration of Five Nights at Freddy's, is in the works.
"I have something fun in mind, a new game (not FNaF5), but it will be a real challenge to have even a small playable portion by Oct 31st. If a playable demo isn't ready by then, then at the very least there will be some sneak-peak content," the post reads.
In the same post the game-maker said fans are yet to put pieces of the fourth installation together and the delay has surprised him given that the mystery of previous games was unraveled rather quickly.
News of game's update comes amidst images posted by director of Five Nights at Freddy's movie Gil Kenan. According to Design & Trend, Kenan posted images that hint at Bonnie-like character and a crying child. Warner Bros. has roped in Cawthon for the movie's development.
