Apple Event 2015 Live Updates: Apple to Debut iPhone 6S, Force Touch, Apple TV and more?
At 1 p.m. ET (10 p.m. PDT) Apple will be announcing the latest edition to their smartphone series, which presumably will be titled iPhone 6S.
The latest edition is expected to have the same perks as the previous iPhones. This phone, however, will have an improved processor and a better camera - the rear camera will now be 12-megapixels instead of 8 while the front camera will be upgraded from A8 to A9. The RAM will be 2GB.
The phone will also reportedly have a new touchscreen feature called Force Touch. Force Touch is a system that analyzes how hard a finger is pressing onto a screen. The pressure levels are grouped into three categories, which include a regular tap, a press and a deeper press.
Although the phone has received a lot of hype, it appears that people are more interested in the set-top box, Apple TV, which is expected to make an appearance at the live event.
The newest version of Apple TV will reportedly include "faster processor, an interface resembling the iPhone and iPad experience, a revamped remote with touchpad and physical buttons, and support for voice controls through Siri," reported by USA TODAY.
The event will be live streamed on the Apple website - viewers will need an updated Apple device or Windows 10 PC with Microsoft Edge in order to watch. For live updates, check back here at 1 p.m. ET.
