Apple's iPhone 7 Rumored to Be Thinner Than Upcoming iPhone 6S
With just a few hours to go before Apple unveils its new iPhones for 2015, talk of 2016's iPhone 7 (assuming Apple is releasing iPhone 6S) are already doing the rounds.
A reputed analyst at KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that iPhone 7 could measure between 6 and 6.5 millimeters thick, thinner than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S which is said to be around 7.1 millimeters. To prevent the phone from bending, Apple may use 7000 series aluminum which is likely used in the making of the iPhone 6S, Mashable reports.
Fortune also reported that the iPhone in 2016 will have similar ForceTouch features that this year's phones will come with.
"Apple and its suppliers have invested heavily in iPhone Force Touch in 2015 and we believe 2016 new models will stick with a similar Force Touch structure as used in 2015," Kuo reportedly said.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6S at Bill Graham auditorium in San Francisco. Most reports have suggested the new iPhone will feature a more powerful processor, more RAM and improved camera while rumors of increased screen resolution cannot be discounted.
