Ben Affleck Jennifer Garner Divorce Updates: Couple Slammed Previous Reconciliation Reports; Split To Continue Despite Sharing Smiles After Marriage Counselling

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner may have looked happy after attending a marriage counseling session in LA this week however, sources have slammed the possibility of reconciliation among the two.

There is no reconciliation. They are working with a professional because there are emotions involved and they want to make this transition as easy as possible for their family," a source told People.

Media outlets have been getting excited when Ben and Jen were seen exchanging smiles and getting comfortable with each other after the counseling session last Thursday.

The weekly visits to the marriage counsellor's office have been a ritual for years now but ended when both of them decided to split up in June.

The couple, who previously decide to be friends after the split, vowed to 'continue to be a strong unit.'

"It's not just for the kids - it's also for them. They care about each other," the source further said.

After the marriage counselling session, the 43-year old actress flew to Atlanta to continue working on her upcoming movie, "Miracles From Heaven" while the Batman actor took care of their three kids-- Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, Pop Sugar reported.

This is not the first time that the estranged couple was seen together. Since the divorce in June, both of them have given a friendly and amicable front while spending time with kids.

Even in Ben Affleck's birthday, Jen was there with the whole family in spending quality time at the Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

"This was all he wanted to do for his birthday, go to Disney World with his family, and that included Jen. It was clear they were together for the kids and putting up a united front,"' a source told US Weekly.
