Hardcore fans of Five Nights at Freddy's series may be disappointed with the screen adaption of the game as the movie's marker Warner Bros is planning on obtaining PG-13 rating for the film.

According to VC Post, the movie is unlikely to feature blood and gore and will solely rely on jump scare tactics to give audience a thrill of horror. The movie is being directed by Gil Kenan, who also made Monster House and Poltergeist. Kenan may however compensate for any loss of thrill with real animatronics, some reports suggest.

The director reportedly posted photos taken at Jim Henson's Creature Shop which has led to the speculation that the objects could be part of the movie's set. Kenan has also said in the past the movie will have a different plot that is suitable for the larger screen.

All the talk around the movie notwithstanding, Kenan is keen to replicate the game's success on the larger screen.

"I'm a big FNAF fan myself! The Depth of the game storyline is amazing... Scott is one hell of a world builder!" he said according to Realty Today while adding that Scott Cawthon will be part of the movie's production.
