Why Skinny Women Are More Attractive to Men, Study Reveals
Well, ladies, if you are reading this article, then you better get yourself re-shaped before someone calls you unattractive!
According to a research conducted under the supervision of the University of Aberdeen, men usually label striking women based on their entire body mass index (BMI) and weight. The conclusion established that women who are skinner and are considered as thinner and of less weight, are said to be more attractive in the eyes of men!
The logic behind this maintained statement is that men usually associate body figures and shape to the element of youth, productivity as well as the possibility of lower diseases. Professor John Speakman, who was the planner of the complete study gave a new concept of "physical attractiveness". According to him, the notion of fitness is directly alluring to men, which is linked to survival and the ability to reproduce and be fertile.
The research was based on the mathematical model, which maintained a connection among life expectancy, survival, fertility and obesity. This scientific model claimed that female bodies who fall under the BMI between 24 and 24.8 are said to be more likeable. Many models and Hollywood stars usually fall between the highlighted BMI, such as Kim Kardashian before the news of her pregnancy.
More than 1300 people, including men and women were involved in the test. The participants came from various counties and were asked to identify the most and least attractive female bodies with the help of 21 image cards exposed to them. The results were, however, same irrespective of different background.
As the BMI tends to increase and augment, the bodies are eventually inclined towards being less appealing and desirable. The ideal BMI is said to be 19, where the bodies apparently look thin and slim.
Another interesting aspect of the research established a connection between the age and BMI. The BMI 17-20 are usually associated with young ages. Therefore, accomplishing that people have a tendency to equate less BMI with youthfulness, fertility and less chances of diseases.
The entire conducted research allows us to ponder over the unexplained connection and association of physical attractiveness with age and youthfulness. The scientists are, nevertheless, on the verge of conducting an experiment based on men.
