A vibrant video footage of a pygmy jerboa desert rodent displays it grand ability to jump and jive near a computer and keyboard.

Though it is mosty only two to six inches in length, according to Desert USA, the length can vary. It looks as if it is made of the "left-over parts" of other animals.

Jerboa are deserts animals, from Mongolia and China, according to bbc.

But they look like kangaroos. "These creatures hop just like a kangaroo; it is amazing to watch. Little hairs on their feet, almost like snow shoes, allow them to jump along the sand," scientist Jonathan Baillie from the Zoological Society of London said.

It was in 2007 that the jerboa species was photographed, according to hngn.

They were filmed in the Gobi desert in an expedition led by Dr Baillie. Till now, it had become extremely difficult to study, due to their"minuscule size, nocturnal nature and the harsh desert environment" that they inhabit.

"And in terms of mammals, they have one of the biggest ear-to-body ratios out there," Baillie added. "The long-eared jerboa is a bit like the Mickey Mouse of the desert, cute and comic in equal measure."
