Duggar Family Update: Josh and Anna Hid at Farmhouse Before Seeking Help
Josh and Anna Duggar were hiding out at a farmhouse in the mountains of Arkansas to avoid the public eye after Josh was linked to owning two accounts on the cheating website, AshleyMadison.com. They have since reportedly sought out help. Josh has checked into a rehab facility while Anna is seeking counseling.
Josh has been the subject of numerous scandals this year. First, In Touch magazine published a police report revealing that Josh had sexually groped five underage girls when he was a teenager. Some of the victims were his sisters. Since the child molestation news surfaced, the Duggar family, famous for their TLC show, "19 Kids and Counting," which has been canceled, has been the subject of criticism.
After the scandal broke out, Josh found himself in deep waters once again when the hackers, known as the Impact Team, who breached the Ashley Madison website, dumped personal data onto the Internet. Shortly after the information was leaked, Josh was linked to the website. He admitted to being "unfaithful" to Anna.
His statement read, "I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have been unfaithful to my wife."
Josh was then publicly criticized and reprimanded by Anna's brother, Daniel, who wrote, via Facebook, "I won't stop trying to get that pig out of our family. I have been thinking of her and sick to my stomach for her for last few days."
Josh's scandals have led the rest of the family to decide on staying out of the public eye. The majority of the Duggars, who have stayed indoors at their home in Springdale, Arkansas, even skipped out on a Sunday church service.
Meanwhile, Anna, who has reportedly been very calm, will be talking about her issues with a counselor.
"She doesn't get mad," a source told PEOPLE exclusively. "You are not allowed to get mad. It's not godly for a woman."
Josh and Anna have four children.
