Galaxy Note 5 Release Date and Rumors: Samsung Could Launch Note 5 With Bigger Battery In November
With the release of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 behind us, talk of a Note 5 Active, the Note 5's big brother in battery terms, is doing the rounds.
Picking up some of the rumors, iDigital Times reports the Note 5 Active could release in November. The phone will be powered by the hardware that powers Note 5 but the battery will be a monster 4,100 mAh. The phablet will also have IP68 waterproofing. Before the Note 5's release, initial speculation suggested it 5 would be powered by a huge battery. Samsung however decided to power it with a 3,000 mAh battery pack, smaller than Note 4's 3,300 mAh.
According to Phone Arena, Note 5 Active may be released on AT&T and is highly probable launch as Samsung released a Galaxy S6 with a larger battery and called it S6 Active earlier this year. If the S6 Active's design is any cue, the Note 5 Active too could be packaged in a slim chassis despite the considerably large battery inside it. However, there may be some drop in appearance as the phablet would be built for durability and thus the Note 5's glass design may not suit the purpose.
